Kelly Malcolm

Kelly Malcolm is a Professional Geologist who was recently the Vice President of Exploration for Amex Exploration Inc which has made numerous gold discoveries, raised over $90 million, and named Exploration Company of the Year at Mines & Money in 2022. He was previously involved in the discovery and delineation of Detour Gold’s high grade 58N gold deposit. He has acted as CEO, director, or advisor at several public and private resource-focused companies. He holds a B.Sc. in geology and a B.A. in economics.

Tony Makuch

Anthony Makuch was recently President, CEO and Director of Kirkland Lake Gold. As CEO, Mr. Makuch spearheaded the transformation of the company which led to a merger with Agnico Eagle in 2022. Prior to Kirkland, he was CEO at Lake Shore Gold until its acquisition by Tahoe Resources Inc. in 2016. Mr. Makuch is currently the CEO of Discovery Silver, and executive chairman at Wallbridge Mining. Mr. Makuch is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and holds a B.Sc in Earth Sciences, an M.Sc. in Engineering, and an M.B.A.

Bob Buchan

Robert Buchan founded Kinross Gold, which grew into the third largest primary gold producer in North America. After retiring as CEO of Kinross Gold in 2005, Mr. Buchan was one of the founders of Katanga Copper, the developer of one of the world’s largest copper deposits. He holds a degree in mining from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and an M.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University.

Greg Gibson

Gregory Gibson is President of G6 Energy Corp. and was previously CEO of Sprott Mining Company and Jerritt Canyon Gold LLC. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry as a miner, mine manager, director, CEO and President. Greg’s experience has focused on gold and copper mines primarily in Canada, US, and Australia. He successfully led Trelawney Mining and Exploration as President, CEO and director from an early explorer to its $608 million sale to IAMGOLD in 2012.

Richard Patricio
Director

Richard Patricio is currently a Director of NexGen Energy Ltd. and is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mega Uranium Ltd, which is a diversified uranium mining and investment company, with interests in uranium assets of various forms. Mr. Patricio has built a number of mining companies with global operations and has held senior officer and director positions in several companies listed on stock exchanges in Toronto, Australia, London and New York. Mr. Patricio received his law degree from Osgoode Hall and was called to the Ontario bar in 2000.

 

Christina McCarthy

Christina McCarthy is a geologist with over 13 years of experience in the resource capital markets. Ms. McCarthy was recently the CEO of Paycore Minerals, which she founded and subsequently sold to i80 Gold for $91 million in 2023. Ms. McCarthy served as Director of Corporate Development for McEwen Mining Inc. from December 2014 to December 2019. Previous roles include Vice President of Corporate Development for New Oroperu Resources, building an exempt market dealer, equity research at Euro Pacific and Institutional Sales at Haywood Securities.

Andreas Steckenborn
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Andreas Steckenborn (P.Eng., Ontario) has developed and improved large-scale mines across North America. Mr. Steckenborn was recently a senior advisor to Iamgold on the Cote Lake autonomous startup. Previously, he was Senior Engineer at the Detour Lake Mine and the West Detour Mine Extension. He joined Detour Gold in 2011 and was involved from mine startup through continuous improvement, resulting in an eventual sale to Kirkland Lake Gold. Mr. Steckenborn is fluent in Mandarin, French and English.

Lisanna Lewis
Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Lewis has 20 years of progressive and unique experience in the mining industry, specifically related to financial operations and business objectives for mining sites. The majority of her career has been spent in the state of Nevada assisting mining companies with overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s business, including finances, accounting operations, budgeting, internal audit, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, tax planning and reporting, treasury and cash management, and credit and risk management, amongst others. Ms. Lewis’ career in mining started at the Borealis mine in October of 2004 and she has remained with that project through exploration, build of site, and production.

 

Iain Campbell
Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Iain Campbell is a Professional Geologist and was hired at Detour Lake Mine as a Graduate Geologist where he worked his way up the ranks Senior Resource Geologist. He was part of the team that created the current grade control model which increased mine revenue by more than $100M over 4 years and lead to the takeover by Kirkland Lake Gold and subsequently Agnico Eagle Mines as their flagship asset and largest gold mine in Canada. Iain holds a B.Sc. in Geology and a certification in Advanced Geostatistics.

Jen Thor
Corporate Secratary

Ms. Thor is a Law Clerk at Irwin Lowy LLP. Ms. Thor serves or has served as an officer and/or director of several public companies. Ms. Thor is a member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
